THE DETAILS:

THE ROLE:

Manage all lifting activities on behalf of ASafe Global and the client, treating them as high-risk operations.
Provide the latest advice and systems for the management of lifting activities.
Advise on systematic lifting requirements and create processes and procedures that align with EU and UK legislation and industry best practices.
Ensure effective coordination of lifting activities across trades and communicate safety protocols to contractors and lifting partners.
Oversee compliance with safe systems of work and coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of lifting equipment, including tower cranes and mobile cranes.
Ensure all lifting plans and documentation are submitted timely and adhered to during operations.
Attend daily activity briefings to inform contractors and trades about upcoming lifting practices.
Support the main contractor in a management capacity regarding lifting activities, advising them on lifting obligations.
Assist in accident and incident reporting and investigations related to lifting activities.
Review contractor documentation for lifting activities and ensure lifting personnel training requirements are met, communicating any deficiencies to contractors.
Actively attend lifting operations, liaising with the owner/developer on lifting matters, and halt any unsafe lifting activities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in craneage and lifting activities, particularly in a supervisory role.
Fluency in English is essential.
Demonstrated experience with crane operation and lifting equipment, including tower cranes and mobile cranes.
Strong knowledge of LOLER standards and regulations.
Must be a qualified lifting supervisor and appointed person.
Experience in Data Center projects is beneficial.
Additional health and safety or engineering qualifications are advantageous.
Freelancers or contractors seeking short-term contracts, based in UK or Ireland are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in German or Polish is a plus.
