THE DETAILS:
THE ROLE:
- Oversee installation, testing, and maintenance of systems, including power, HVAC, BMS, and EPMS.
- Manage system testing, balancing, and maintenance for safe operation.
- Develop scripts, participate in design reviews, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, manage docs, and ensure compliance.
- Implement commissioning plans, provide feedback, and align activities with project goals.
- Review project specs, design drawings, and docs to identify commissioning needs and ensure compliance with standards.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with teams, and contractors, scheduling and executing tests.
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper installation and operation of systems.
- Develop reports, procedures, and docs to record findings and recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, collaborating with teams on corrective actions.
- Provide technical support on system performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends to improve processes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field (Level 8 or higher), with advanced degree/certification in commissioning, energy management, or project management preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in data centre infrastructure or mission-critical facilities, with a focus on commissioning, MEP engineering, or construction management.
- Certification or training in NETA, ASHRAE, or commissioning-specific education courses.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of Chilled Water, HVAC, BMS Systems, power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and backup generators, PSL.
- Expertise in Level 4 Scriptwriting and proficiency in commissioning software tools, data analysis, and reporting systems.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive stakeholder relationships and leadership experience in a mission-critical environment is preferred.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects concurrently and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and objectives.
