THE DETAILS:

THE ROLE:

Develop, implement, and manage the overall EHS management system for the construction project.
Provide strategic EHS leadership to internal teams and contractors, ensuring full compliance with legal, corporate, and client standards.
Coordinate and oversee all risk assessments, site audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Act as the primary EHS contact for client representatives, local authorities, and project stakeholders.
Lead regular EHS performance reviews, analyse trends, and introduce proactive measures to reduce risk.
Monitor contractor performance, verify documentation, and enforce corrective actions when needed.
Oversee training and onboarding programs to ensure all personnel are competent and informed.
Promote a strong, visible safety culture, fostering engagement at all levels of the project.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

7+ years of progressive experience in EHS management, ideally on major construction or industrial projects.
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
Proven track record leading large, multi-contractor sites; previous experience in semiconductor or cleanroom environments is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of German and EU safety regulations, including construction law and environmental compliance.
Recognized certifications such as NEBOSH, SIGEKO, or other relevant EHS qualifications.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
Fluent in English; German proficiency is a distinct advantage.
Willingness to be based full-time on site in Dresden, Germany.
